   Lean and efficient are the keys to survival in a super competitive global environment. That’s why companies are sticking to their core competencies and outsourcing the rest.

   No sector of the economy has benefited more than the consulting services sector to which the recruiting profession belongs. Staffing and direct placement firms experienced record growth during the past decade and continue as part of the corporate evolution.

   Government projections indicate an annual industry growth rate of 20% or higher for the continuing future. The same people who handled benefits administration, payroll, and employee training once handled the applicant screening process. That was when employees applied to companies.
