Direct property and casualty claims segment in accordance with company claim handling requirements and standards, applicable state and regulatory requirements, and established quality standards.

*** Secure, retain, and drive growth of high preforming in-house property and casualty claim unit.

*** Establish procedures, protocols, and standards to optimize business results and drive continuous improvement.

*** Review claims strategically and provide guidance and input on investigation, claims management activities, reserve increases, litigation management, etc.

*** Personally manage large or complex claims, including coverage analysis, investigation, evaluation, reserving, settlements, and subrogation as needed.

*** Authorize reserve and settlement up to highest authority level.

*** Manage claim related expenses by ensuring compliance with preferred vendor protocols and effective management of external resources such as experts, attorneys, contractors, independent claims adjusters etc.

*** Administer claim performance audits for various claim exposures under management.

*** Manage and direct staff responsible for oversight, control, and audit of designated claims managed by TPAs.

*** Monitor competitive industry metrics, loss trends, applicable case law, and developing issues, as well as relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
