Supervise group of environmental underwriters ensuring that underwriting practices and guidelines are followed and pricing, risk selection, and quality is sound.

Environmental Lines and Classes include: Commercial General Liability Exposures; Premises Pollution; Premises Pollution Healthcare; Environmental Impairment Liability - EIL; Pollution Legal Liability - PLL; Contractors Environmental Liability; Professional Liability; Storage Tank and Transmission Liability; Excess Over Primary; Package Auto Liability; Employers Liability; etc.

Activities:

*** Build strong relationships with wholesale brokers and work to ensure continued business.

*** Implement, execute, and manage the underwriting appetite, guidelines, referrals, and authorities.

*** Underwrite risk utilizing claims history, financial status, and rate plans to determine coverage limits, pricing, conditions, and terms.

*** Establish and promote underwriting best-practices to guide team members in profitable and sustainable underwriting activities.

*** Provide guidance, leadership, and motivation to staff underwriters, training team members in novel techniques.

Base salary to $150,000, bonus plan; company matched 401(K) and pension; full family company paid prescription, medical and dental plan; discounted personal lines insurance; fitness club membership; tuition reimbursement; credit union; generous vacation and paid time off; up to 4 weeks paid vacation.
