Provide technical support to manufacturing to resolve production problems, introduce new products, implement waste reduction, and improve processes.

*** Design Antireflective and High Reflective coatings from Ultraviolet to mid Infrared.

*** Specify process requirements, inspect equipment, write specifications, set up equipment, run experiments, collect data, tweak chamber parameters, write up process instructions, and train operators on equipment specifications and processes.

*** Own and manage processes during process sustainment to ensure all coating equipment consistently performs according to requirements.

*** Create and maintain standard operating procedures for all processes. Optimize process run conditions and document results.

*** Select deposition equipment based on application and mirror coating requirements.

*** Perform Root Cause Analysis on chronic product problems and implement corrective and preventive actions.

*** Develop and implement Quality Management System for coating lab.

*** Recommend repairs, upgrades, modifications, or new equipment purchases.

*** Provide technical expertise related to Thin Film Deposition Systems; Thin Film design software (TFcalc, Optilayer, Macleod, and similar); maintenance & repair of coating equipment; and similar.
