Activities:

*** Design and execute experiments to develop purification strategies for production of viral gene therapy vectors.

*** Lead process scale-up activities, including execution of manufacturing scale runs.

*** Support the transfer of process technology to clinical manufacturing groups.

*** Author protocols, technical reports, data analysis summaries, and SOP's.

Requires:

*** Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry, or related field.

*** 5+ years industry experience in a similar role with experience in biologics manufacturing.

*** Experience with chromatography (column chromatography, affinity, ion exchange (IEC), hydrophobic interaction (HIC), etc.), and filtration processes (ultrafiltration (UF), diafiltration (DF), depth filtration, sterile filtration, etc.)

*** Experience applying QbD (Quality by Design) principles for process development and characterization.
