Investigate, evaluate, and resolve routine to moderate level general liability, premises liability, construction negligence, and construction defect claims within the company contractual and legal obligations while ensuring appropriate payments to customers.

Shall:

*** Manage personal caseload of claims including possible litigation to ensure adjudication or settlement according to Company policies and procedures.

*** Initiate and maintain positive and productive communications with claimants, surveillance companies, independent adjusters, special investigators, defense counsel, and other related parties, including onsite investigations and meetings.

*** Investigate, evaluate, and settle claims to ensure settlements are fair and equitable to insured, claimant, and company.

*** Review and apply coverage for all claims.

*** Use authorized software and estimating systems such as Xactimate.

*** Establish and maintain appropriate case reserves sufficient to pay claim once resolved.

*** Ensure salvage and subrogation opportunities are identified and pursued to minimize claim losses and improve company results.

*** Utilize all appropriate loss and expense savings programs.

*** Document claim files accurately in the claim system of record to substantiate claim disposition and minimize erroneous payments.

*** Identify potential fraud and refer to appropriate authority.
