Investigate professional liability claims covering physicians, physicians groups, hospitals, medical facilities, and long term care facilities from first notice of loss through resolution.

*** Investigate and resolve all aspects of the claims assigned, including coverage, liability, damage evaluations, and resolution.

*** Establish reserves based on reserving protocols and reserve authority procedures for primary and excess Professional Liability claims.

*** Manage claims pursuant to established claims handling guidelines regarding coverage, investigation, liability, damages, evaluation, and resolution.

*** Oversee litigation pursuant to established litigation guidelines.

*** Manage panel counsel retained for litigated claims.

*** Complete Large Loss Reports, where appropriate.

*** Provide support to Professional Lines Business Unit and participate in marketing efforts.
