Seeking experience designing NGS (Next Generation Sequencing) for gene analysis. Shall lead design, testing, improvement, and approval of NGS assays in a clinical laboratory compliant with CAP and CLIA certifications.

Activities:

*** Imagine, design, develop, test, and evaluate high-throughput and next generation sequencing (NGS) assays.

*** Scale up and transfer NGS assays from bench scale to clinical scale.

*** Design, test, and implement automation programs using Unix, or similar.

*** Use experience with bioinformatics to analyze data gathered in tests.

Qualifications:

*** Advanced degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, etc.

*** Experience designing, testing, and performing NGS assays.

*** Experience with Ion semiconductor (Ion Torrent), Pyrosequencing (454), Sequencing by synthesis (Illumina), Chain termination (Sanger sequencing), or similar NGS methods.
