Seeking Automotive Quality Engineer with experience in a tier supplier leading new product introduction and launch with Automotive OEMs for manufacturer of pneumatic and hydraulic systems actuating components and ride control components including Cylinder-Piston Fluid Systems like Struts, Shock Absorbers, and Ride Control Mechanisms: Actuators, Lift and Control Hydraulic and Pneumatic Cylinder-Piston assemblies and complex automotive hydro-mechanical components produced in a Cellular Manufacturing Environment from machined parts including seals, cylinders, pistons, valves and fittings..

Requires:

*** Experience meeting with customer representatives to evaluate new product designs and assess manufacturability, tolerance requirements, and quality sustainability.

*** Ability to recommend: product design changes, updates or additions to equipment lines, and new vendor sourcing and selection.

*** Experience performing GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing) and tolerance stackup studies for new product and part designs.

*** Track record sourcing and procuring custom gage systems or services from gage suppliers.

*** Experience leading APQP (advanced product quality planning) and performing FMEA (failure mode and effects analysis), PPAP (production part approval process), and SPC (statistical process control) as well as submitting documentation according to AIAG (automotive industry action group) guidelines.
