Seeking an experienced Process Support Engineer to troubleshoot, monitor unit performance, and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

*** Provide process technical support for Refinery units. Monitor and track system performance.

*** Conduct pressure & temperature surveys to determine exchanger cleaning needs. Assess economic impact of maintenance activities and technical support requirements.

*** Calculate size of control valves, relief valves, orifice plates, restriction orifices, pressure drops, piping size, system volumes & residence times, size & rate of heat exchangers, and similar.

*** Analyze heat & material balances. Recommend corrective measures to remedy mass & volume balance discrepancies.

*** Ensure compliance with environmental permits, reliable operation, quality of on spec product, capacity maintenance, and similar.

*** Support supervision of catalyst unloading and loading, chemical vessel cleaning & inspection, shutdown & start up coverage, exchanger cleaning, screen cleaning, and similar maintenance activities.

*** Assist with capital project design and installation. Determine profitable modes of unit operation.

Desired Experience:

*** Bachelors in Chemical Engineering or similar field.

*** 5+ years of Process Technical Service, Design Engineering, or similar experience in the Petroleum Refining industry.

*** Knowledge of heat transfer, fluid operations, mass transfer, heat & material balances, and similar.

*** Familiarity with Control Data Historian, Process Simulation, or similar software.

*** Experience servicing deep conversion delayed coking unit.
