Seeking Process Engineer with experience developing sound PVD processes for thin film optical filter or mirror coatings used in photovoltaics, high-intensity lasers, and semiconductor fabrication processes.

Shall:

*** Develop and document innovative process designs for multilayer thin films that will be subject to high heat flux.

*** Program metrology instruments to measure the thickness of the multilayer thin film being coated and control the coating process.

*** Assist with the optical design and selection of control metrics being evaluated inside the chamber such as pressure, temperature, etc.

*** Select and characterize appropriate coating chamber to implement specific Design of Experiment (DOE) based on thin film modeling.

Requirements:

*** Bachelors degree in Physics, Optics, Material Science, or equivalent technical degree.

*** 5+ years experience developing dense optical thin film coatings with low porosity subject to very high heat flux.

*** Experience evaluating real-world data from deposition chambers and determining impact on coatings, must be able to analyze findings and incorporate procedures to fix the problems.
