About:

*** Company features state of the art Class 1000 clean rooms with fully automated PVD chambers incorporating advanced metrology equipment measuring and controlling the thickness of individual layers of multilayer thin film coatings.

Activities:

*** Develop sound, replicable processes for physical vapor deposition of thin metal films subjected to ultra-high heat flux.

*** Test, alter, tweak, tune, and manage operation of newly purchased deposition chamber, ensure most efficient coating of the substrate in the chamber.

*** Ensure deposition process leads to highly dense thin film structures to avoid complications stemming from high thermal stress.

*** Calculate, program, and control how metrology instrumentation measures the deposition of multilayer thin film coatings.

Requirements:

*** 5+ years Process Engineering expertise for Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition with Ion Assisted Deposition for precision optics.

*** Proven track record writing effective repeatable process instructions, testing processes, evaluating performance, and analyzing results.

*** Experience developing and testing PVD processes in a R&D environment.
