Polymer Chemist - Composite Manufacturing Materials - Denver, CO

Description
Opening for experienced Chemist in the Manufacturing Unit to contribute to product development, evaluate competitor products, assist with sales cycle, and field trials.

Candidate shall have experience in Styrenic Thermosetting Polyester-Vinyl Ester Formulation and Polymer Analysis as it relates to end use applications such as: Casting, Filament Winding, Pultrusion, Spray-Up, Hand Lay-Up, Infusion, etc.

Duties:

*** Conduct laboratory work for evaluating new products, optimizing existing products, and preparing samples for customer evaluations.

*** Assist with laboratory and production quality control and quality assurance projects.

*** Analyze production materials, incoming raw materials, and competitive materials.

*** Ensure product approval for production of materials and samples originating from assigned laboratory.

*** Support scale up activities for manufacturing new products.

*** Manage manufacture of the following materials to product specifications: sales samples, test specimens, and evaluation batches.
