Grant Writer Manager Nonprofit Policy Advocacy Grants Writing and Management Specialist Writer Administrator Child Advocacy Early Learning, Positive Youth Development & Juvenile Justice, Child Welfare - Abuse & Neglect, Health, Economics, Law, Social Networking Safety & Effects, Mental Health, Education, Racial Equity, Family Support _ .
Grant Writer and Manager is responsible for supporting the ever-growing grant writing and grant management needs of a midsized child policy advocacy nonprofit organization.
Position collaborates with diverse stakeholder groups, making sure that grants are mission and program aligned, milestones are achieved, and compliance and accountability maintained.
*** Plan and implement a grant program.
*** Research funding opportunities.
*** Identify and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities.
*** Lead the development, writing and submission of grant proposals to prospective funders.
*** Prepare grant budgets
*** Monitor expenditures and grant deliverables using project management system.
*** Track results, and analyze program and financial data.
*** Provide technical support in the preparation of the organization's annual budgets when grants are included.
*** Ensure expenditures comply with funder guidelines, organizational policy, and regulatory requirements.
*** Provide monthly summary of grant activity and financials to the Executive Team
Requirements:
*** JD or Bachelors or Masters degree in accounting, finance, non-profit management, public policy or similar.
*** 5+ years of experience in a non-profit setting managing the grant and contract process including prospecting, applying, closing and monitoring deliverables.
*** Record of successfully achieving at least $2,000,000 in new grant funding over the past three years.
Highly visible leadership role within an advocacy leader providing direct interaction with organization's CEO, executive board and stakeholder leadership.
