Contract manufacturer of medical, automotive and consumer product plastic parts and components with multi-facility molding press operation continues its expansion and seeks energetic, self-motivated tooling manager to join and grow with the team.

MAIN DUTIES

*** Independently oversee and support tooling design for injection, rotational, blow, insert, & over molding; extrusion; and thermo & vacuum forming.

*** Manage new injection mold tooling; modifications and repairs to existing tooling; tooling quotation; and supervise tool design and fabrication with contractors.

*** Drive lean and continuous improvement efforts.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

*** 5+ years supervisory experience in tooling.

*** Ability to take 2D drawings and 3D models and interrogate component design with DFM analysis and share with customer so it can be injection molded for tolerancing, as an example, and make recommendation to customer to the design to make it manufacturable.

*** Track record overseeing tooling vendors, prototyping and releasing tooling to manufacturing.
