Apply electronic theory, principles of electronic circuits, electrical testing procedures, engineering mathematics, physics, and related knowledge to layout, build, test, troubleshoot, and repair automation on production equipment.

*** PLC & Sensor configuration, programming, and troubleshooting.

*** Perform base line measurements on newly installed or overhauled equipment under actual operating conditions.

*** Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards and need for repair or replacement of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.

*** Adjust, calibrate, and align circuitry & components and record effects on unit performance to include preventative and predictive maintenance.

*** Analyze and interpret data from solid state motor drives and controllers with meters and other electronic test equipment.

*** Discuss performance issues and ideas with technical and operational staff.

*** Utilize electrical schematics and make sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.

*** Understand, troubleshoot, and repair solid state drives, temperature controllers, and computer based controllers.

*** Set up standard test apparatus to conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability for production and production simulations.

*** Maintain software backups of electronic processors as required by maintenance.

*** Prepare technical reports for documenting issues.

*** Provide technical expertise related to Allen Bradley and Siemens Programmable Logic Controller processors.
