Description
Develop plans and specifications for the design and construction of new assets, perform analysis, and resolve equipment and operational problems that may include performing field investigations or inspections, developing complex statistical models, or completing a detailed review of design computations.
Activities:
*** Assist identification, development, assignment, and prioritization of Integrity, E&C, Capital, and O&M projects.
*** Develop and maintain project scopes, budgets, schedules, and associated resources for natural gas and crude oil projects.
*** Prepare, interpret, and evaluate schematics, drawings, layouts, and other visual aids to ensure design and documentation meet latest national and local codes, rules, and regulations.
*** Provide engineering guidance for development of new or modified midstream facilities including development of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), piping design, equipment specification, material selection, preparing contractor bid packages, and process safety hazards reviews.
*** Prepare and review specifications for piping systems and pressure vessels, including valves, fittings, pigging facilities, glycol dehydrators, heat exchangers, pumps, measurement equipment, lease automated custody transfer units, and compressors.
*** Ensure materials and material specifications meet company standards and industry codes for oil and gas industry.
*** Conduct surveys to gather field data; compile, manipulate, analyze and interpret data; and draw conclusions and identify trends.
*** Perform annual Compressor Station relief valve review as required by DOT.
*** Review P&ID and Process Flows for Transportation & Storage and Gas Gathering Systems including Compressor Stations.
*** Perform hydraulic simulation and design calculations to size pipelines according to applicable code such as CFR 192, 195, ASME B31.3, B31.8, API, etc.
*** Serve as a representative of the company when communicating with regulatory bodies and government agencies, including providing technical presentations to regulatory officials, appointed boards, commissions, the public, and staff.
*** Lead contact with State Highway Departments, third party developments and projects and oversee projects for relocation or adjustment in pipeline facilities.
*** Develop, facilitate, and implement metrics, processes, and standard operating procedures and methods for operation and maintenance of engineered systems.
