*** Oversee MBE operations and wafer characterization.

*** Improve epitaxial growth methods, nanoscale device fabrication, and device characterization.

*** Improve production of bipolar transistors and junction-gate field-effect transistors in a single-chip integrated circuit (BiFET) manufacturing processes and improve equipment such as: platers, Plasma-Therm and Electron Beam Evaporation.

*** Maintain and repair in-situ characterization systems, such as RHEED and Auger.

*** Implement data driven continuous improvement projects targeting the manufacturing process and equipment to elevate product quality, throughput and yield.

Required Areas of Knowledge:

*** Transmission Electron Microscopy

*** Molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) equipment engineering.

*** Measurement systems and characterization equipment.

*** Ultra High Vacuum systems

*** Statistical process control methods, data mining and LEAN manufacturing principles
