Metrology Technician - Pharma Lab Instrumentation - Boise, ID

Description
Install, start up, calibrate, maintain, and repair all types of facility and laboratory equipment including: lab equipment (scales, balances, microscopes, radiation monitors, incubators, autoclaves, bioreactors, ultra-low temp freezers, refrigerators, and liquid nitrogen freezers); probes (temperature and pH); critical environments; house vacuum systems; wireless data logging equipment; and similar.

*** Plan, schedule, and document all calibration troubleshooting and repair, third party vendor management, lab moves, space planning, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) programming & support, and similar activities.

*** Implement instrumentation and metrology program. Measurements and calibrations include - pressure, temperature, electrical, dimensional, mass, mechanical, pH, conductivity, and similar.

*** Troubleshoot and calibrate lab assets with proper test equipment such as Digital Meters, Pressure Gauges, Temperature Probes, Flow Meters, and similar.

*** Provide off hour - emergency repair services.

*** Ensure proper operation and functionality of building utility systems, air handlers, fans, chillers, boilers, water systems, compressed air & gas systems, power & lighting systems, standby generators, and similar.

*** Maintain library of equipment files such as drawings, Operation & Maintenance manuals, service records, and similar in Blue Mountain (BMRAM), Maximo, and similar CMMS platforms.

*** Manage service providers and vendor contracts related to maintenance, calibration, and repair of facility assets. Utilize Building Automation & Management Systems (BAS).

*** Develop standard work instructions, procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, and similar.

*** Provide technical expertise for the selection and procurement of new lab equipment.

*** Serve as subject matter expert related to Power Distribution Systems; Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems, Variable Speed Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Distributed Control Systems, Emergency Generators, Motors, Breakers & Motor Control Centers, and similar.
