Manufacturing Operations Manager - Composite Truck Cabs - Scottsdale, AZ

Description
Seeking individual able to lead the operations of a 500+ employee manufacturing plant producing fiberglass and resin composite truck cabs for OEMs such as GMC, Ford, Volvo, Peterbilt, Freightliner, etc.
Activities:
*** Oversee the daily production operations of the plant including management of facilities, manufacturing activities, budgeting, logistics, etc.
*** Ensure facility maintenance is taken care of, bookkeeping objectives are met, new capital projects are scheduled and carried out, and logistics plans are developed for materials and finished products.
*** Develop and monitor productivity objectives including short and long-term goals.
*** Establish, maintain, and proactively manage budgets to control and continually decrease operating costs while retaining quality and quantity necessary to meet internal and external requirements.
*** Receive direct reports from comptroller or other internal accounting representative and ensure accounting records and cost accounting efforts are carried out efficiently and documented correctly.
*** Champion a culture of continuous improvement through a 'top-down' management approach.
*** Oversee and initiate capital projects to improve productivity and reduce cost, ensure proper installation, commissioning, and training for employees.
Requirements:
*** Background in a manufacturing environment with large composite products.
*** Knowledge of prepreg composite fibers and hand lay-up composite molding.
*** Ability to manage large groups of employees ranging from production personnel to upper level facility supervisors.
Highly visible leadership position within the company with opportunity to advance into executive leadership. Frequent access to VP and Board of Directors with ability to tailor the plant operations as you see is necessary. Generous compensation package with salary to $160,000 and bonus opportunities.
