Seeking individual who can oversee all activities of both the R&D and Coating teams within a company specializing in highly precise optical thin film design and coatings for lenses, mirrors, filters, sensors, etc. for customers in satellite imaging, space exploration, surveillance, etc.

Objectives:

*** Manage engineers and technicians in product R&D, production, and coating.

*** Schedule and assign personnel, evaluate performance and develop training plans.

*** Oversee operation, maintenance, repair, upgrade, and modification of coating chambers.

*** Develop budgets and purchase new thermal evaporation, sputtering, CVD, PVD, or similar chambers.

*** Evaluate designs and provide technical oversight for multi-layer optical thin films applied to lenses, filters, and mirrors.

Qualifications:

*** Must have advanced degree in Optics, Physics, Material Science, or similar and experience with optical thin film coating using techniques including thermal evaporation, E-Beam PVD, sputtering, etc.

*** Ability to contribute to the design and review of thin film coatings.

*** Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
