Manufacturing Process Engineer Medical Devices Stents Tubing Catheters Wire Extruded Coated Sterile Packaging 13485 _ .

Responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability and develop best practices for products including Medical Tubing, Dilators and Sheaths, Catheters, Surgical Delivery Systems, Stents, Shaft Liners, and Medical Optics.

*** Design manufacturing process equipment

*** Use computer aided design such as AutoCAD electrical or Solidworks.

*** Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers.

*** Perform material testing on medical polymers, thermoplastics, nylon, polyether ether ketone (PEEK), polyester, polyethylene, and biodegradable and bioresorbable scaffolds.

*** Troubleshoot problems for processes such as tube extrusion, braided wire and coiled wire reinforced tube extrusion, wire coating, coextrusion, multi-channel tube extrusion, multi-layer extrusion, reinforced extrusion, and insert extrusion.

*** Develop instructional and procedural documentation.
