Seeking experience inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, or replacing electrical and electronic components of complex commercial electronics installed in manufacturing machinery.

Qualifications:

*** Ability to inspect and test electronics to the semiconductor level - must be able to identify which component on a PCB is bad and replace it manually instead of throwing it out and installing a new board.

*** Experience with both SMT (surface-mount technology) and plug-in breadboards.

*** Experience soldering and desoldering small electronic components on PCBs.

*** Direct experience testing and troubleshooting communication networks in complex automated industrial manufacturing environments (fieldbus).

*** Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar to test and simulate processes to identify problems with process machinery.

*** Hands-on experience with components such as servo drives, motors, actuators, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), valves, etc.
