Design, develop, and validate various LED lighting products and luminaire designs and technologies for high volume manufacturing and automated assembly.

*** Participate in concept generation, rapid prototyping, and testing to evaluate new design directions.

*** Brainstorm and execute design concepts in all phases of a development cycle.

*** Generate dimensional and tolerance analysis.

*** Design high volume part and assembly from concept to detail design to manufacturing introduction.

*** Specify and select materials, processes, and vendors.

*** Create, manage, release, and maintain production documentation including product requirement documents, engineering drawings, and bills of materials.

*** Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and suppliers to transition concepts to production.

*** Optimize performance and cost through detailed mechanical design of production fabrication processes including injection molding, casting, machining, aluminum extrusion, etc.

*** Work with engineers to integrate components and electromechanical systems.

*** Validate components in bench and system configuration.
