Assist Team Leaders and Management personnel by adjusting major and complex losses, training other claims employees, and completing reinspections and file reviews.

*** Investigate, confirm coverage, determine liability, establish damages, report status, negotiate settlement, and make payments for assigned large or complex losses.

*** Initiate and maintain contact with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, contractors, police and fire departments, state and county fraud and arson personnel, special investigators, attorneys, expert witnesses, members of the medical profession and others related to investigating and processing claims.

*** Attend litigation conferences, arbitration hearings, and trials as necessary.

*** Monitor and control legal expenses.

*** Determine and report subrogation potential.

*** Inspect damaged property and vehicles, and determine claims related damage.

*** Estimate cost of repair or replacement of damaged or stolen property and vehicles.

*** Initiate sale of salvage vehicles, personal property, and miscellaneous salvage items.

*** Report theft, fraud, and arson losses to state and industry agencies.

*** Assist with catastrophe claims throughout operating territory.

*** Conduct reinspections and field-rides with Claims Representatives to assist Team Leaders and Supervisors with evaluations of Claims Representative technical abilities.

*** Participate as an instructor in claims training programs and agent career schools, and monitor quality and adequacy of training programs.

*** Review Claims Office operations for compliance with company procedures and quality assurance evaluations and report adverse trends or procedural deviations.
