ACTIVITIES:

*** Manage assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability, rate, retention, product mix, new business, and portfolio management goals.

*** Develop and implement plans, monitor performance, and adjust plan to ensure a substantial pipeline.

*** Build and maintain rigorous sales practices.

*** Develop relationships to build pipeline, collect intelligence, and drive performance.

*** Drive relationship management and customer activities to build trust, facilitate negotiation, and secure commitment with customers.

*** Review applications and financial requirements to determine acceptability of risk.

*** Apply pricing components, rating methodology, and predictive modeling tools to price risks based on financial and competitive analysis.

*** Ensure underwriting guidelines are followed to minimize exposure and appropriately price.

*** Prepare and analyze information on adverse underwriting decisions, rate appeals, underwriting requirements, status, and declinations for assigned territory.

*** Monitor state and territory issues, regulations, and trends.
