Growing specialty business unit seeks individual to generate prospect pipeline and continually create opportunities within the broker independent agency system.

Shall:

*** Develop relationships with brokers and agents, monitor profitability and quality of submissions, and notify channel of underwriting and product changes.

*** Market company products through broker & agent contacts to achieve company growth and profitability targets.

*** Manage book of business to maximize profitability and growth, by considering mix of business, loss ratios by line of business, and fit of business with company guidelines.

*** Examine documents such as application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps, and past claims, and other factors including applicant financial standing, business operations, loss experience, and value and condition of property, inventory, and equipment to determine degree of risk.

*** Accept, reject, or modify new and renewal business within delegated authority levels and company guidelines to ensure a profitable book of business.

*** Rate business according to company underwriting and pricing guidelines within individual underwriting authority limits.

*** Establish types and limits of coverage to be provided.
