*** Review claim files to determine recovery potential.

*** Contact claims representatives for additional information as needed.

*** Partner with SIU and Recovery to identify fraud and subrogation opportunities.

*** Ensure prompt and proper disposition of recovery claims files involving established liability or damages and limited negotiation authority.

*** Identify claims with issues beyond authority and refer to senior recovery staff or manager.

*** Prepare recovery files for suit, arbitration, or outside collection.

*** Consult with claims staff and counsel for discovery processes, alternative dispute resolution, and trial strategy related to recovery issues.

*** Submit severe incident reports, reinsurance reports, and other information to claims management.

*** Establish and authorize reserves and claims payments within delegated authority.

*** Provide customer service via communications with insureds for prompt return of applicable deductibles or out-of-pocket expenses.

*** Initiate and conduct follow-ups via claims systems and related business systems.

*** Coordinate file inventory to ensure timely resolution of cases.
