Leading Commercial Insurance Carrier providing excess and surplus lines commercial property and casualty coverage has opening for Claims Examiner to handle basic to moderate commercial general liability third-party claims.

Activities:

*** Review and establish new loss assignments, and appropriate initial loss and expense reserves.

*** Analyze and interpret policy language.

*** Manage claim files, including identification and investigation of coverage, liability, and damage issues; determining an appropriate plan of action; and prompt file resolution.

*** Present and discuss loss facts and issues in roundtable discussions, and compile Large Loss Reports and related documentation.

*** Direct vendor activities and costs, including independent adjusters, defense counsel, and coverage counsel.

*** Compose correspondence to insureds, claimants, attorneys, agents, and Regulatory agencies, including reservation of rights and coverage disclaimers.

Must Have:

*** 3+ years of Commercial General Liability insurance experience.

*** Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter or Associate in Claims designation.

Excellent salary and bonus potential for total compensation to $130,000.
