Industrial Automation Controls Engineer - National Travel - Garland, TX

Description
Shall lead new product development; recommend machine product upgrades; specify electrical and control components for custom projects and new designs; maintain documentations of engineering changes, concepts, designs and drawings; and oversee projects from start to finish including design, building, debugging, validation, installation and commissioning.

Technologies Used:

*** HMI programming and systems configuration using: Siemens WinCC Flex and Siemens Transline 2000; Panel Builder; Factory Talk View and WonderWare; Siemens S7 and TIA Portal Software.

*** PLC programming using: Allen Bradley RS logix 5000 and RS Logix 500; Allen Bradley SLC 500 PLC 5/04 & 5/05;

*** Robot programming on ABB, Fanuc, Kuka, or similar.

*** Design and programming of Servo and Variable Frequency Drive Motion Controls.

*** Ethernet, DeviceNet, Profinet, Profibus, MPI, or similar communications.

*** SolidWorks, Eplan, or AutoCAD.

Shall work as a part of a project-oriented engineering and design team developing machines for individual customers across the country. Project scopes include everything from imagination and napkin drawings to initial design, testing, prototyping, building, programming, testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, modifying, and training customers.
