Assists in managing the public face of Leading Youth Policy Organization with community-focused expertise and its partnership with The Community, Nonprofit Partnerships, and state, county and municipal legislators, commissioners, and their staffs.

Ensures that Organization's name and brand is represented consistently and correctly across media, tracking and reviewing media coverage to identify opportunities for enhancement.

GOVERNMENT

*** Serve as a Liaison for monitoring work with state, county and municipal legislators, commissioners, and their staffs.

*** Provide logistical and content support for onsite and virtual monitoring and oversight efforts.

*** Conduct literature reviews and policy analysis.

*** Analyze program policies, processes, legislative and regulatory requirements, and qualitative and quantitative data.

*** Facilitate virtual and in-person meetings with state, county and municipal legislators, commissioners, and their staffs.

*** Collaborate with team members to prepare and present documents, including project resources and visit schedules.

*** Write and edit summaries of findings, process guides, training manuals, slide decks, reports, and other documents as needed.

COMMUNITY & PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS

*** Share subject matter expertise through training and technical assistance, virtual and in-person presentations, resource development, and other information dissemination methods.

*** Respond to requests for proposals and grant applications, as required from time to time.

MEDIA

*** Helps develop press releases, and helps maintain and develop relationships with top-tier media outlets.

*** Helps manage and measure the success of media plans.

*** Manages and coordinates media and public affairs requests, including interviews and filming inquiries.

*** Works collaboratively to research and develop comprehensive written content packages as well as visual content. Packages must be accurate and tailored for key media and public audiences to be used on web pages, in social media, and the like. Assists with final-edit for public-facing written material.
