SIGNIFICANT INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL

Promote and perform repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance of Automated Biomarker & Cell Signaling Assay Systems at customer sites including university, government, and industry laboratories, and maintain necessary documentation of service.

Activities:

*** Perform calibration according to manufacturer standards and ensure conformance with established company calibration and repair standards.

*** Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble pipettes to diagnose problems and determine necessary repairs using small hand-held tools.

*** Contact existing service customers regarding ongoing needs and respond promptly to all customer inquiries.

*** Determine customer needs, present benefits of service plans, negotiate effectively, and close new business.

*** Generate new service business to meet annual targets by cold-calling, posting flyers, sending email blasts, and attending vendor shows.

*** Assist Sales Representatives and distributor representatives with equipment demonstration at customer sites and trade shows.

*** Manage service schedule, including coordinating multiple appointments within a geographic region to maximize travel time and budgeting sufficient time for clerical work and new business development.

*** Maintain repair and calibration equipment and monitor parts inventory.
