Seeking experience leading engineering design and drafting projects for capital expansion and improvement efforts in a hazardous chemical processing and storage environment such as a chemical plant, refinery, petrochemical plant, or similar.

Functions:

*** Act as the drafting group leader, responsible for 10+ CAD Drafters specializing in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering.

*** Task, schedule, and coach team members.

*** Establish quality standards and expectations, evaluate work and approve based on acceptable adherence to requirements.

*** Act as a decision maker for hiring new designing and drafting personnel and coordinate with Human Resources on recruiting, hiring, and firing of personnel.

Experience:

*** 10+ years design and drafting experience for a hazardous chemical processing and storage facility.

*** Proven success leading a team of CAD drafters and designers.

*** Strong background in 2D and 3D design, drafting, and modeling software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, TurboCAD, or similar.
