Seeking engineer with metrology laser tracking experience for large scale high precision measurement and validation ideally familiar with components such as: Beam Splitters, Interferometers, Mirrors, Lasers, Power Supplies, Laser Tracking Control Computation, Servo Motors, Photodiodes, Laser Diodes, Machine Vision Sensors, etc as well as large scale high precision measurement using laser trackers.

Support team that is creating laser tracker based protocols and systems for pre-fire calibration of long barrel (24 + feet) Advanced Gun Systems on US Navy ships. (Highly automated precision engagement weapons which autonamously identify threats and guide munitions to their target.)

Activities:

*** Suggest improvements to existing calibration processes involving laser trackers, analyzes novel application concepts for feasability and collaboratively explores new laser tracker applications.

*** Serve as laser tracking technology Subject Matter Expert.

*** Manage specific assigned engineering projects and associated team.

*** Specifies, sources, justifies, and acquires new equipment and reworks and improves existing equipment.

*** Interfaces with academia, government and industry partners and stakeholders through publications, presentations and demonstrations and conducting literature reviews, table-top analysis, concept and design assessments, and trade studies in order to keep company current and abreast of latest technologies and trends in Laser Tracking technologies.

*** Assists sales and engineering in producing quotations, estimates and proposals.
Writes technical, quality and production procedures.
