Activities:

*** Examine, analyze and troubleshoot equipment for defects; identify actions needed and initiate repair efforts.

*** Maintain and troubleshoot compressor station control systems, centrifugal compressors, generators, control valves, etc.

*** Inspect and maintain monitoring devices including gas, smoke & flame detectors, vibration and temperature monitors, etc.

*** Perform preventive maintenance on natural gas pipeline equipment such as pumps, turbines, compressors, seals, coolers, etc.

*** Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair natural gas compressors, process controls, pumps, pressure relief system, instrument air system, fuel system, emergency shutdown systems, process pumps, inlet gas scrubbers, etc.

*** Troubleshoot and modify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to maximize use of control technology and minimize installation and operating costs.

*** Perform preventative and general maintenance on instrumentation, electrical and pneumatic equipment.

*** Run conduit, pull wire, change motors, and maintain lighting systems and basic motor controls.

Requirements:

*** Ability to read P&ID and electrical diagrams, complex electrical drawings, and compressor station electrical diagrams.

*** Familiarity with AC voltage (120-13800) three phase and single phase plus 24 VDC.

*** Hands-on experience with compressor station inspection and maintenance processes, electrical layout, safety systems and area classifications.
