The organization's team of experts and advocates put their research and knowledge into action by designing and promoting public policies that drive toward positive youth development for all.
A new opportunity for a Director of Operational Excellence, this role shall establish critical cross business collaboration, systems, and processes, driving operational efficiencies across the organization. The position will serve as the connective tissue across the organization to ensure stakeholders can successfully execute on integrated project and operational plans between operational units in alignment with policies and strategic goals. This role will report to the organization's CEO.
*** Foster the design, implementation, and execution of processes for cross-functional areas of our business to provide timely, visible, and clear bottom-up and top-down communication.
*** Lead, monitor and establish visibility and communication of cross-company projects and processes in a centralized dashboard with the goal of maximizing information sharing while reducing the number of meetings and emails required.
*** Collaborate with program and project managers regarding systems and process alignment to enable product delivery plans with stakeholder engagement.
*** Create and deliver status reports on cross-organization initiatives and operational activities for leadership and key stakeholders.
*** Identifying and report roadblocks, risks, and critical dependencies; and ensuring the important "stuff" gets done.
*** Identify and ensure ownership for and that processes across the organization are living and amended as required; establish and maintain a metrics program to measure results.
*** Develop standardized decision-making criteria, and build a culture where discussions and decisions are delineated and clear.
*** Drive and build strong cross-company relationships; take the time to get to know the ins and outs of each of the groups and their objectives, and use a "velvet-hammer" approach to get things done.
Qualifiers:
*** 5+ years' experience in project management, analytical problem-solving, operational improvement, analytics and reporting.
*** History of effectively managing stakeholders including identification, engagement, relationship building, negotiation, and communications.
*** Formal Project Management, Quality Assurance and/or LEAN Training. PMP, Six-Sigma or similar certifications a plus.
*** Hands on experience with automated Project Management and Metrics Monitoring systems.
*** A minimum of 2-3 years in a professional services role, project management experience, and/or HR experience OR 1-2 years in a resource planning/coordinating role.
