Mold Designer Plastics Engineer Fabricator Moldmaker Research & Development Medical Devices 3D CAD CNC Programming Plastic Injection Molds _ .

Seeking 5+ years experience in mold design including hands-on ability in mold making process and CAD to manage mold and tooling design, procurement, testing and troubleshooting.

Shall:

*** Communicate with customers to define and document requirements, address technical concerns and provide project status.

*** Interpret customer requirements into 3D designs using CAD or similar software and develop plastic injection molds off of these designs

*** Analyze engineering sketches, specifications, and related data and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, arrangement of cavities, etc..

*** Sketch layouts and compute angles, weights, surface area, dimensions, radii, clearances, tolerances, thermodynamics, etc.

*** Designing injection molds using 3D computer design tools.

*** Advising and directing moldmakers, machinists and toolmakers and reviewing and testing molds.

*** Aiding in the programming of CNC machine tools.

*** Approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.

*** Investigate problems and provide solutions.

Candidate must posses at least 3 years experience performing mold design in a low volume, high change over injection mold environment.

Compensation $80,000 to $120,000 including bonus plan; company paid full family coverage medical, dental, prescription and vision; matched 401(k); paid training; tuition assistance; generous vacation and paid time off; stock; life insurance and more.
