Seeking individual who can plan, schedule, and manage the design and production sides of a specialized optical coating department providing cutting edge products for state-of-the-art military, defense, and commercial aerospace customers.

Shall:

*** Develop production plans and task team members.

*** Receive direct reports from group leaders for both R&D and coating teams.

*** Oversee operation, maintenance, and repair of thermal evaporation, E-Beam PVD, and sputtering chambers.

*** Initiate and manage capital equipment projects including new equipment purchase, current system modification or upgrade, etc.

Qualifications:

*** 6+ years optical thin film coating expertise for low volume production of highly engineered precision coating applications for optical filters, lenses, mirrors, sensors, detectors, etc.

*** Experience with software packages such as Filmstar, TFCalc, OptiLayer, etc.

*** M.S. or equivalent in Optics, Physics, Materials Science, or similar; PhD highly preferred.
