Commercial Lines Underwriter needed to join a leading insurance company and bring multi-line underwriting experience to the table to build agent and grow business.

Responsibilities:

*** Underwrite and negotiate new business and renewals with middle market accounts from $20,000 to $200,000 in premium.

*** Handle lines of business including, but not limited to, agri-business, workers compensation, umbrella, commercial auto, general liability, commercial property and inland marine.

*** Perform hazard analysis and assess prospect's financial standing, operational strategy and industry trends to determine whether to proceed with account, and how to approach pricing.

Education:

*** Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience:

*** 2+ years experience as a multi-line underwriter for agriculture related businesses: farms, dairies, food processors, equipment retailers, maintenance services, etc.

*** Advanced knowledge of commercial property and casualty products.

*** Industry designations a plus.

Starting compensation up to $95,000 with end of year bonus, travel expense reimbursement, matched 401(k) and tuition reimbursement.
