Seeking individual who can manage a specialty optical coating department producing high precision thin films according to exacting specifications for customers in aviation, military, and precision imaging.

Objectives:

*** Provide leadership, direction, training, and scheduling to design engineers and production technician teams.

*** Provide input to R&D, design, development, and production of thin film coatings, processes, and equipment.

*** Assess current equipment capabilities and recommend upgrades, new equipment purchase, or modifications.

*** Reduce waste and lead time.

*** Develop and manage annual budgets and incorporate capital equipment purchase plans.

*** Task technicians and engineers and monitor performance.

Education & Experience:

*** Master of Science in Optical Engineering, Physics, Material Engineering, etc. and knowledge of thermal evaporation, chemical vapor deposition, E-Beam physical vapor deposition, sputtering, etc.

*** 6+ years management experience in a similar environment with personnel supervision and scheduling expertise.
