Description
Develop framework for understanding risks and oversee independent model validation, testing of actuarial models, and similar.

*** Establish key processes, procedures, and technical standards.

*** Create tools and techniques to ensure application of competitive actuarial methodology.

*** Collaborate with pricing actuaries and underwriters to assess assumptions, modelled results, and impact of diversification on company's profitability.

*** Communicate key model weaknesses and data limitations such as inherent model imprecision and similar.

*** Lead analysis of corporate loss and loss expense reserves. Communicate reserve analysis to senior management.

*** Forecast resource needs & costs to anticipate expenditures. Plan, allocate, and manage financial budget.

*** Support human capital management activities: hire, coach, and manage actuarial staff.

*** Acquire Actuarial Fellow Designation (FCAS) and similar Casualty Actuarial Society professional designation.
