Analytical Chemist Water Analysis Inductively Coupled Argon Plasma Mass Spectrometry ICPMS ICP-MS Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectrometry Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometry Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry EPA NJDEP

Analyze water, oil, soil, and sediment for potential contaminants by performing tests including flow injection analysis of cyanide, phenol, ammonia and nitrogen; anions by ion chromatography; spectrophotometric analysis of phosphorus and hexavalent chromium; and biological oxygen demand using equipment such as Ion Chromatographs, UV/VIS Spectrometers, and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometers.

Shall:

*** Prepare samples and solutions.

*** Perform required analysis and testing of client samples.

*** Maintain precise, complete, legible, and concurrent records of work performed in laboratory logbooks.

*** Enter data and results into the Laboratory Information Management System.

*** Maintain analytical instruments.
