Chemical Process Engineer Polymer Technology - Lynchburg, VA

Industry leader seeks a Process Engineer to calculate and develop standard operating conditions for compounding processes focusing on Themoplastic Polymer technology.

Duties:

*** Develop new processes to customize products to client specifications. Utilize company technology to meet customer requirements.

*** Establish internal yield targets. Analyze production data and complete production reporting.

*** Ensure production compliance to Standard Operating Conditions.

*** Demo products for new and existing customers.

Experience Sought:

*** Masters degree.

*** 3+ years of Polymer or Chemical Engineering experience in Polymer Compounding or similar industry.

*** Hands on knowledge of screw design, twin screw extruders, CAD for designing process, machine & screw elements, and similar.

*** Familiarity with high performance polymers such as Polyether Ether Ketones, Polysulfones, Polyphenylsulfones, Polyesthersulfone, or similar.
