Seeking EH&S champion to spearhead safety program improvements, continuous plant monitoring programs, and on-time reporting of safety issues to regulatory officials.

Activities:

*** Act as the key employee and environmental health and safety expert and ensure all plant operations follow regulatory standards, internal SOPs, and safe operating requirements.

*** Lead and manage employee training efforts, ensure team members are well-versed in hazardous waste handling requirements and chemical spill cleanup.

*** Maintain Community Right to Know program, Employee Right to Know program, and Hazard Communication program.

*** Maintain compliance with current SARA III requirements for Emergency Planning (Sections 301-303), Emergency Release Notification (Section 304), Community Right-to-Know (Sections 311-312), and Toxic Chemical Release Inventory (Section 313).

*** Initiate and lead internal audits, risk assessments, and environmental & safety inspections.

*** Conduct incident and injury investigations and implement corrective and preventive action plans to reduce potential for future accidents.

Qualifications:

*** 5+ years experience designing, implementing, and managing plans for safe and healthy working conditions and coordinating environmental compliance in a chemical plant environment.

*** Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements.

*** Bachelors in Safety, Environmental Science, or equivalent technical degree.
