*** Ensure appropriate file handling, documentation, reporting and expense control.

*** Conduct loss investigations.

*** Negotiate settlement of claims.

**** Escalate action on claims exceeding authority.

*** Document activity.

*** Recommend reserves on claim files and ensure reserve adequacy.

*** Report adverse events to management.

*** Monitor and mitigate file expenses.

*** Draft coverage correspondence; reservation of rights; coverage disclaimers; etc.

*** Attend and support activities at trials, depositions, and mediation conferences.

Seeking individual with Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant claim technical experience and demonstrated commitment to professional development through continuing education related to the job such as AIC, AEI, INS, SCLA CPCU, etc.
