Bioprocess Facilities Engineer - Sheboygan, WI

Description
Pharmaceutical biological ingredients manufacturing organization seeking an experienced engineer to provide technical and engineering support to capital equipment and process development and to GMP manufacturing operations for bulk and finished pharmaceutical biologics in multi-product facility.

Activities:

*** Analyze and develop engineering solutions to maintenance, continuous improvement, quality and safety initiatives, and failure investigations for biologicals manufacturing equipment, control systems and instrumentation.

*** Providing expert support related to troubleshooting and repairing bioprocess equipment.

*** Lead engineering projects from start to finish including: Planning, scheduling, budgeting, technical reviews, etc.; Preparation of design packages and specifications; Requests for Proposals; engineering calculations; analysis related to process design and equipment selections; etc.; Design and design review; Vendor and contractor sourcing and selection; Permitting; Validation and regulatory submissions.

*** Coordinate equipment, facility, and automation change control, document revisions, and conduct equipment, system and instrumentation failure investigations.

*** Maintain engineering drawings and equipment history files.

*** Collaborate with facilities technicians to minimize equipment down times, expedite preventive maintenance (PM) schedules and manufacturing and laboratory personnel to troubleshoot and repair equipment, instrumentation, and controls issues.

Equipment and systems are used for Bioreaction; Fermentation; Lyophilization; Chromatography; Cell Homogenization; Solvent Extraction; Reverse Osmosis; Precipitation; Centrifugation; Ultrafiltration; etc.

Requires:

*** BS in Engineering.

*** 3+ years biologics manufacturing plant experience.

*** Hands-on knowledge of bioprocess equipment and instrumentation.

*** Knowledge of biopharmaceutical equipment design, construction,
