Audio Visual Production Engineer Producer Videographer Specialist Technician Studio Engineer Podcast YouTube Broadcast Final Cut Pro _ .

Join a Non Profit Advocacy Organization which produces Podcasts, YouTube and short Broadcast productions to: educate, promote, fund raise and increase awareness of our policy initiatives and brand.

In this position candidate maintains and operates Organization’s Podcast, YouTube and Remote Interviewing Studio and wears many hats:

*** Sources, selects, installs, monitors, maintains and operates AV equipment.

*** Operates lighting, cameras and sound equipment.

*** Working with Organization’s staff edits video programs using Final Cut Pro or similar software.

Detailed Functional Activities:

Shall independently coordinate expansion and continuous improvement of Organization’s Internal Audio Visual; production capabilities.

*** Oversees development of physical studio environment -- wall surfaces, utilities, HVAC, furnishings, etc.

*** Sources, selects, installs, monitors, maintains:

- ** Cameras
- ** Audio Mixers & Recorders
- ** Microphones
- ** Lights
- ** Digital Work Stations
- ** Capture, Editing and other appropriate Software
- ** Video & Audio Monitors

Supports Production of Video Interviews

*** Collaborating with Organization’s Media Manager and YouTube & Podcast Coordinator and Guest Outreach Associate prepares studio for filming. Sets up Lighting, cameras, microphones, etc.

*** Monitors recording equipment during interview. Makes equipment adjustments and advises Host if needed in real-time.

*** Transfers raw digital audio and video files to appropriate storage directory and makes backup copies

*** Working with Host and Media Manager edits production for desired effect.

*** Creates graphics, B-roll, intro and post, chyrons, etc. as needed

Qualifiers:

*** Loves to make videos so much does it for fun on weekends.

*** Solid knowledge of “A” grade Audio Visual studio equipment. NOT an iPhone video wannabe producer.

*** AV Trained in College or Technical School.

*** Down to earth, congenial, cooperative “I’ll make it happen” attitude.

Experience and Credential Requirements:

*** Certified in Audio Visual Production from a HANDS-ON curriculum. NO film studies grads without hands on equipment training.

*** Portfolio of quality productions. Can be done at school or on his/her own or as freelancer. Job history would be nice but not required. Ideally, where candidate wore many hats as oppose to big commercial productions where candidate was, for example, one of the camera operators.

*** Hands-on experience with Final Cut Pro for Mac would be a plus but not necessary. It just happens to be the software we are using currently.
