Aerospace Composites Project Manager - Jacksonville, NC

Description
Seeking technical expert who can act as the ambassador to large Aerospace OEMs and establish rapport to determine customers' perceived value and ensure project activities are aimed at meeting and exceeding customer expectations with regard to quality and timeliness.

Shall:

*** Lead initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing for new aerospace composite projects for customers building commercial and military cargo and transportation planes.

*** Meet with engineering team to identify and select manufacturing techniques utilizing processes such as Vacuum Infusion, Vacuum Bag Molding, Compression molding, Pressure Bag Molding, Hand Lay-Up, Spray-up, etc.

*** Recommend improvements to tooling, fixtures, and machinery in order to reduce cost, improve production speed, and improve product quality.

*** Advocate for the customer and ensure projects follow design, quality, timeline, and cost requirements.

*** Act as the point of contact for multiple cross-functional teams working to 'make the magic happen' for the customer.

Qualifications:

*** 5+ years hands-on project management experience for a composites manufacturing environment.

*** Ability to communicate with customers and lead efforts to ensure customers are satisfied, product meets quality requirements, and internal costs are minimized.
