Seeking experienced Underwriter to lead a team of staff underwriters in assessment and placement of risks for Commercial accounts in an Excess & Surplus lines carrier.

Qualifications:

*** 10+ years underwriting experience, ability to perform within a surplus lines environment.

*** Leadership abilities, proven success developing and managing staff within an insurance carrier.

*** Knowledge of classes of commercial such as: Mom & Pop Retail, Repair Shops, Hotels, Offices, Movie Theaters, Supermarkets, Colleges, Private Schools, Day Care Centers, etc.

*** Familiarity with interactions with wholesale brokers, able to develop relationships and ensure all guidelines are followed.
